Sigourney + Kevin | 6/18/2016
We pulled out all the stops for Sigourney and Kevin's big day! Hand painted florals, rose gold foil and monogramed wax seals all worked together to create one of our most romantic invitation suites to date! We had so much fun creating all the different pieces, from the invitations and hang tags, to the programs and thank you notes. We were so excited to be a part of this beautiful wedding! Below, Sigourney shares a bit about what went into the planning behind the scenes.
Kevin and I dated for 6 years before saying "I do." Most of our romance has been spent abroad and the year leading up to our marriage was no exception. We planned most of our wedding from 5,000 miles away with the help of our incredible planner Sally Berry and our extremely supportive families. We wanted our day to be non-traditional, unique, and detail oriented. We tried to give small nods to our international lifestyle with a huge world map as our guest book and having our wedding party walk down the aisle to the song "Budapest" (Kevin proposed to me on the Danube River in Budapest).
I went to visit Printerette shortly before moving to Hungary for the second year and I instantly fell in love. I knew that this was the place that would bring our vision to life! I truly feel that the save the dates and invitations set the tone for the entire wedding, so I wanted our invites to be elegant, glamorous, and sweet. Catherine blew us away with romantic florals and just the right amount of shimmer with the rose gold foil on the invitations and was able to easily integrate that theme into all of paper for the big day. From the little favor tags, the heart shaped program fans, and the custom wax seals on the menus- every darling detail was there. Being a bride-to-be abroad was difficult at times and I had to put a lot of faith in those who were helping me with the process. I can't even put into words how thankful I am for Catherine and the rest of the Printerette princesses for making our day extra special. It was an absolute dream.
